Waterbury, Stowe & Surrounding
Stowe's fertile valley spans Mount Mansfield to the west and the Worcester Range or "Hogback" Mountains to the east. Founded in June of 1763, the skiing is fabulous with Smuggler's Notch close by, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen in the Mad River Valley & Bolton Valley all within easy driving distance. Waterbury, with some state government, is a vibrant and conveniently located town just a half an hour south of Burlington.
Majestic mountains, upscale culture and dining, and solid links to Boston & New York, cosmopolitan Stowe offers the best of both worlds. The Little & Winooski Rivers offer great fishing and summer water recreation. Surrounding towns include Waterbury Center, Waterbury, Moscow, & Morristown.
